Roof Design/Fittment for Different Model Years

Top on my vert is basically trashed. Lots of corrosion, leaks, etc...I am thinking about swapping the whole unit out for cleaner lower mileage unit but am wondering if there were any changes over the years? I know the little covers changed at some point but does that affect the entire mechanism or just where they attach?

I have a 2002 and am wondering if anyone knows the other compatible years.

Check ebay for tops for sale. They should list compatible years. From memory, I believe mine is 05 330ci so compatible models would be 01 thru 06. Make sure to double check that.

Andy.

RealOEM.com indicates that all E46 Cabriolet's used the same exact folding roof.

The only difference I've ever found on some tops, was the small black trim around the rear windshield. Some have it, and some don't. Wouldn't affect anything at all, just one thing I noticed
