Last month's positions
$W: 500 shares @ 24.05
$S: 1000 shares @ 4.69 $FSLR: 200 shares @ 48.80 $CRIS: 20000 shares @ avg 2.55, some profit-taking @ 3.20 $NVGN: 1000 shares @ 2.70, profit-taking @4.00 $AAPL: 50 shares @ 120.90 $AXP: 50 shares @ 85.00, dumped at 83.00 So far so good. Will unload CRIS once it hits ~ 4.00 Will unload AAPL on Monday if it drops Keeping my eyes out for S for any bearish momentum Keeping my eyes out for FSLR due to the possibility of ending renewable energy tax break or the non-materialization of the YieldCo with SPWR Keeping my hopes up for W towards a possible buyout from AMZN, and may add to my position soon. Thinking of adding a bank position after the stress test, quite possibly BAC. Last edited by ///A; 03-12-2015 at 11:20 AM. |

How often are you fully turning over your portfolio? Taxable or deferred?

Quote:
Alcoa $AA: Great long term play as it looks like it hit a bottom and has potential to climb up to its heydays, with Klaus Kleinfeld at the helms. Recently have had contracts with Boeing, GM, etc, and good growth story into aluminum manufacturing for transportation and aerospace instead of it's prior focus in smelting. Pays dividends. Blackstone Mortgage Trust $BXMT: Long term play, good mREIT with expanding portfolios throughout the world, and seems impervious to the coming fed rate hike, as most of its properties are commercial. Awesome dividends. CEO purchased enormous amount of shares at 30.50. SunEdison $SUNE: I already explained why I like SUNE in my other thread in this sub-forum. WhiteWave Foods $WWAV: Great fundamentals, quarter after quarter outstanding earnings and guidance. Great product offerings in the organic foods sector. Potential M&A target (speculative play). Verifone $PAY: Potential growth in mobile payments (ApplePay) and payments through wearable tech. Largest Point of Sales ecosystem. October deadline is coming for all retailers to use EMV-readable systems in their operations. Abbott Labs $ABT: Very safe play in the health sector, and my most recent addition during the selloff that happened last week. Has a great portfolio of offerings, including baby formula Similac, and adult supplements EAS, Ensure, etc. I only found out about this stock after looking at the back of my baby's Similac packaging and realized they traded publicly. Looked more into the stock and its fundamentals and earnings look very promising. Recently sold assets to Mylan and has cash flow for potential M&A. Plan to add more on weakness.
