Comparing the two dynos, the positives are:
1. Hp peaks earlier,
2. Tq stays higher longer, and
3. Less boost.

Gotta have some positives.

I didn't get a good run in but I have picked up 2psi Min.

The ESS TS throttle body snout is just under 2.6 inches, ID - now 3.5 inches.

Going from 2.6 inch ESS TS Snout to 3.5 Inch netted 2.5 - 3.0 psi gain.

I have a dyno booked on Tue to see the changes of the 3.5inch ESS TS snout.

Not the same Mainline dyno but I have had a dyno on this Dyno Dynamics before, but with the "Old, Good Engine".

It reads lower than the Mainline by about 20whp - I will have to have a look at my dyno sheets.

Anyway, referencing to my old dynos should give an idea of any changes.

This engine seems to use about 1 liter of oil every couple of hundred km's.

I am going to measure it this time. LOL.

Got to Dyno place and the fuel reg was leaking, so I abandoned the dyno run - so, no... no time.

Going from just under 2.6" to 3.5" TS Snout, gained 2-3 psi - resulting in a small re-tune.

But, the ID1000's are running about 108% DC, so not going to do dyno run until that is resolved.

How is your beast coming along?

Whipple W140AX arrived today.

2.3L here to give the 1.6L Lysholm a well deserved rest.

The titanium valves have been fitted to the new head - hopefully to see current peak whp at 6600 rpm, that basically flatlines to 7600 rpm, start to go up with rpm instead of side ways.

The 1.6 is currently overspun to about 18000rpm with a 74.15mm pulley (thanks to Dave), maybe I put the 60mm pulley back on and see if it will be destructive either to the engine, headgasket or the 1.6...

Or... some one may want to save this 1.6 and buy it,
? Instead of sealing its possible fate with the 60mm destroyer?

...For some reason, I could not open an attachment to post pics...?

How'd you go with this? Get the larger charger to fit in engine bay?

I have not installed it yet.

Been away on holidays for about 2 months.

There are a few things in in the process of doing that need tuning and dynoing, before the 2.3 goes on.

Cheers.
