CD Player Problems

The CD player on my 2004 330i is stuck in the carrier and also appears loose when I press the green button. It shows a message of " no CD" on the dash unit screen.

Does anyone know a good repair shop for the CD player. Preferably in the Brisbane area, but am willing to send unit to a good shop in Sydney or Melbourne.

Sadly CDs are a dying enterainment system.

Cheaper to buy another used stacker.

You can buy brand new CD internals from AliExpress. Just open your radio and remove the CD player cartridge and search for the part number.

Thanks guys, advice much appreciated.
I have been told it may just be stuck from old grease. I had one quote from repair shop in Melbourne to repair unit at a cost of $600 - $1000. So hopefully it is only old grease.

Look on eBay and just buy a used one before spending that kind of money on a repair shop. Also, I think I recall replacing the mechanism with a brand new one for less than $100 USD + shipping.
