best way to clean crap from intake(diesel)

Hi I am planning to do big overhaul replace all vacuum lines, o rings, swirl flaps blanks, boost hoses. What would be the best way to clean all the oily/carbon crap from the intake? The other day I cleaned the EGR and it was pretty nasty, so I imagine the intake is gonna look similar. Its 320d. I was thinking to plug all the holes and fill it full of gasoline and leave it overnight, good idea?

same stuff you've used for cleaning EGR is ok for manifold, just remove it from the engine

I used throttle body cleaner, dont have enough of that stuff for intake, also it required quite a lot of scrubbing
