Found a treasure trove of BMW technical docs.
Try not to become an insomniac pouring over these goodies.

GREAT info. I could read that stuff for hours... Thanks for posting!

First revelation is I never knew the coupes were longer AND wider than the sedans. I knew they didn't share sheet metal, but for some reason I thought their external dims were still more or less identical. Intredasting. Onward!

OK really cool explanation and diagram of the DISA system (page 18 of the "Engines" section).
