Airbag Light on

I just put some sport seats in my car, and me being the dumb person i am forgot to d/c the battery and now i have the airbag light. It codes as the occupancy sensor. What is the best way to FIX this, i dont want something that just clears the code. Do i just need to replace the sensor and then im all good to go? Or is it something else?

Do the seats you put in have the occupancy mat sensor and did you plug it in? If so, clear the code, disconnect the battery and after a few minutes, connect again and fire it up for a test. If it persists, there may be a compatibility issue with the seat sensors or one/both mats are bad on the seats you installed. I know there is an inexpensive trick for the occupancy sensor that I did on one of my seats because the mat was bad, but I would rather have the sensors working correctly really.

Buy a inpa cable off of ebay for $15 and install inpa from my signature. You need to clear then code. You can code out the passenger occupancy sensor. They are common to fail. Replacing it isn't easy because it's under the seat's stitching
