Used M4 = 30K miles, would you buy it?

I really want an M4 and found several in my area with 30K or so for about 50k. I'm a little hesitant to buy a used performance car, what are your thoughts?

Just go for a new one or ok to get used?

No clue man. This is an E46 forum. Maybe ask here?

The S55 is pretty stout and the notorious issues that M cars faced in the past (subframe tears, rod bearings, etc.) have been sorted out by the F80 generation.

If you find a clean example with some basic service records, why not?

buy ANY newer M car or any performance car with an Extended Bumper to Bumper warranty, that should take care of the future headaches if any....

Thanks guys, appreciate it. Always get nervous buying pre-owned especially when its a performance car that might be driven lightly.....

Only time will tell with these newer Ms. Personally im scared off by the turbos but I would either a. get a extended warranty or b. buy the car with some money put aside to fix it if needed

A model with a 6-speed manual in good condition for the right price is tempting. This one is near me.

It all depends on your desire-to-finances ratio. Only you can decide.
