Bimmertools sponsored E30 is kicking @ss at One Lap of America

Our good friend Anthony Magagnoli is driving the DTRPerformance monster E30 this week in the annual One Lap of America. Bimmertools was lucky enough to be involved a bit with materials to help get the car ready.

The car itself is a 1990 325is with a turbo M50 that has been worked to death. It's estimated that the car is easily making 450 HP at the wheels.

Currently, they're 8th in the overall standings (of 68 entries), and dominating their individual class. The team's performance is shocking everyone, including the journalists from Motor Trend and Autoblog who are covering the event daily.

You can follow their progress here - http://www.dtronelap.com/ - pretty much up-to-the-minute coverage via mobile tweets, pics, and even live streaming in-car video during their runs.

Tomorrow they'll be at Mid Ohio, and Thursday here in NJ at NJMP's Lightning Circuit.

Here's a pic of the finished car:

Tell anthony to cut out the buck nasty spins

Today will be a good day, he's on a course that he knows like the back of his hand. LOTS of practice laps in the car at Mid-Oh already.

EDIT: That's my photo. How the hell did you get that? lol I'm guessing Anthony sent it to you? We took those at the Street Survival School last month

Yeah - I got the spin update after it happened, then read the colorful description on the Motor Trend blog. One of the joys of having the attention of the media, I guess...

He did send me that photo originally, but I believe it's also in rotation on the DTR site.
